Copenhagen, Denmark, 26 April  — Satair, an Airbus Services company and world leader in the commercial aerospace aftermarket, has announced the introduction of a new bid-and-quote feature on its digital Marketplace along with the onboarding of CSAT, and PoleAir as new third-party sellers to the e-commerce platform. The new sellers join an established network of other third-party sellers including VAS, Airbus, Vallair, Magnetic MRO, and Advantage Aviation Services.

Satair Marketplace is an integrated solution on Satair Market, the global electronic one-stop shop for new, Used Serviceable Material (USM) and surplus parts at competitive prices. The advanced e-shop for material management connects buyers with approved third-party sellers and allows access to the broad Satair OEM portfolio with hundreds of thousands of part numbers available.

The new bid-and-quote feature consists of an easy-to-access quote overview, and quick quote-to-order conversion, making the interactions between customers, Satair, and third-party sellers on the e-commerce platform a seamless and automated experience. Moreover, the new feature also allows customers to place a bid on certain products offered by third-party sellers, automatically converting it into a quote through which the customer can track the progress of their bid or quote and see when a seller has a price or a response to the bid.

The new bid-and-quote features represent Satair’s strategy to leverage digital innovation and automation to simplify the customer experience by streamlining the customer interface and enabling information retrieval in the easy-to-use quote overview on Satair Market. The future developments of the platform’s quote overview support this ambition and include the connection with Lilly, Satair’s AI-powered online assistant, integrating into an automated end-to-end order process.

Paul Lochab, CCO, Satair, commented, “On the advanced e-commerce platform, sellers can reach our unique global customer base and access and get a better understanding of the market demand and customer behavior through valuable insights into big data analytics”. He added, “For buyers, this means having access to a product offering that is continuously adapting to market and customer demands.”

Connecting customers with suppliers across the world through one click
In line with the strategy of easily connecting its aviation customers with a large network of aftermarket providers, Satair has expanded its roster of third-party sellers on the Marketplace significantly growing the spare parts offering available while securing global footprint. The onboarding of several new third-party sellers is the result of an ambitious growth plan to establish Satair’s Marketplace as the leading one-stop shop for customers in the aviation aftermarket.

A marketplace to meet all the customer’s needs
Satair’s global material e-shop is used by more than 15,000 unique users spread across 4,500 validated customers consisting of airlines, cargo operators, MROs, OEMs and brokers. The product offering spans components, consumables, and expendables and can be found in different conditions such as Used Serviceable Material (USM) and New Surplus.

With the offering of used serviceable material on the Marketplace continuously expanding, Satair is meeting the dynamic customer demands by facilitating global and extended sourcing options while helping customers offset their surplus inventory to the market.

Highlighting the one-stop shop nature of the platform, Allan Riis, Satair’s Director of Marketplace, said: “Many of our customers are challenged with a significant amount of surplus inventory, which is critical for them to monetize. At the same time, they need a wider range of material options within close proximity. The new Satair Marketplace is the solution that meets both these needs.”
