Copenhagen, Denmark, May 30 2023 – Satair, an Airbus Services company, has signed a multi-year distribution agreement with Dayton-Granger, Inc., a prominent aerospace manufacturer of antennas, static dischargers, and lightning protection equipment. The agreement covers the global distribution of Dayton-Granger's ELT-DT Blade Antenna, a product designed to integrate anti-disablement, lightning protection, and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) location features in response to the new EASA mandate requiring commercial passenger jets to be equipped with emergency locator transmitters of a distress tracking type (ELT-DT) from 2024.
This partnership marks the first agreement between Satair and Dayton-Granger and will bring benefits to Satair's customers, including access to the innovative Dayton-Granger ELT Antenna, and expert support from both companies. The Dayton-Granger ELT Antenna will be installed on the majority of new Airbus commercial fixed wing aircraft, complying with the EASA mandate, which applies to aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of over 27,000 kg (60,000 pounds) with an airworthiness certificate issued after Jan. 1, 2024.
Thomas Lagaillarde, Head of Product Management & Business Development at Satair, says, "We are excited to partner with Dayton-Granger and are confident that this new partnership will further support our commitment to providing customers with reliable, high-quality solutions for their Airbus fleet."
Kristin Cline, President of Dayton-Granger, comments, "We look forward to working with Satair and leveraging their global customer network and expertise in forecasting and fulfilling product support needs of aircraft operators worldwide, on a 24 hours a day and 7 days a week basis for AOG emergency orders.
